Great question for those new bloggers who wants to get traffic into their new blog.
Well..I would say Adwords is a good way of getting instant traffic. But paying some money to get traffic to their new blogs is a rather expensive way to do so.

Pros:
Instant Traffic, instant recognition and less work done.
Cons:
Expensive! You will get lots of traffic but lots of bills too.

I would want to see long-term plan rather than short term success.
I would prefer link exchanges, directories and articles marketing.
