Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is actually a process of placing keywords or keyword phrases in a website that result in high rankings on an Internet search engine. It’s important to understand that properly managed Search Engine Optimization won’t just increase web traffic volume on your site. Instead, it will drive highly qualified visitors who are most likely to convert into sales.
A properly designed and executed Search Engine Optimization pay-per-click campaign can provide the foundation for a lifetime customer relationship. Many of you may not know what is pay-per-click. In my easy way of expressing this term is that.
1.I pay search engines to advertise my ads
2.You click on my ads
3.Visit my website/ blog
4.Buy products/ read my blog/ sign up as a member
5.I get paid from the sales/ I get traffic and readers into my blog
6.The money earned will be invested in new campaigns of advertising. Which means it falls back to step 1 and continue like a cycle or chain.
P.S.
Hope I’m not writing too much on PPC-advertising instead of Search Engine Optimization.

Can always use more knowledge on ppc advertising!
I’d have a question though, i’ve seen a couple of adwords ads going to blogs (mostly new blogs), do you think it’s a good way to increase traffic to a new blog, or is it a little too expensive, compared to other sources of traffic, like link exchanges, directories, articles marketing?
Great blog Erwin, i’ll be back to read more posts
Keep it up!

Hey Mr Smart-Wealthy-Rich,
Great question for those new bloggers who wants to get traffic into their new blog.
Well..I would say Adwords is a good way of getting instant traffic. But paying some money to get traffic to their new blogs is a rather expensive way to do so.
Pros:
Instant Traffic, instant recognition and less work done.
Cons:
Expensive! You will get lots of traffic but lots of bills too.
I would want to see long-term plan rather than short term success.
I would prefer link exchanges, directories and articles marketing.
I will cover this topic sometime in the future. Hear from you again Jonathan. Success To You Dude!
