There are lots of niche markets out there but talking about niche genius, how many can you find?

This post is not about who is smarter or more capable to excel in niche marketing. Many of you can simply use your own researching techniques and come up with niche markets that are pretty hot in demand while many are struggling to find one since day one.

So is finding a hot in demand niche market the most important step to your online business?

Many have seem to be misleaded by the words of experts. Finding a hot in demand niche market doesn’t always makes you money/profits in the long run.

So what is the real truth behind it and what’s it gotta do with being a niche genius?

In my own term, a niche genius is someone who not only discover hot and targetted niche markets, they are very profitable as well. Just like an expert explorer who could find hidden treasures while none of us could.

These “geniuses” really know how to leverage on these found targetted niche markets and multiple their income simply instantly.

If you still can’t get the picture, don’t worry too much as I’ve simply been there and done that myself.

For example, “Forex” and “Myspace” are highly targetted and searched niche markets. Can you tell me which is more profitable?

Although there are lots of myspace users, but most of them are students who aren’t willing to spend any money on myspace itself. But it’s a totally different story for forex searchers, many of them are have their basic income and are willing to spend money on forex to multiple them.

So it isn’t difficult to find a highly targetted and profitable niche market at all. All you have to do is to take an extra step more and make the comparison. *Hint* Take a look at all the famous magazines, if they are not highly in demand and profitable, will those big companies print and sell them like hotcakes?

So why can’t everyone start unleashing the niche genius in yourself today?

Although this is not the only step to being a” niche genius”, but it’s one of the most important step if you want to make real money in a long run.

I’ve included more methods and techniques below, feel free to hit me a comment if you have any methods or techniques you will like to share with everyone, I will be willing to include them in this post.

  • Think of any Backend opportunites in them

Great Post Erwin! We have to research our niches a lot more than we do to look at the possibilities.

Great article! I think it’s also really important to be passionate about your niche market. Even if you are a “niche genius,” you’ll be committing a ton of time to your business/blog/etc. You’re more likely to burn out if you don’t care about what you’re selling.

I agree what you wrote in another one of your posts, that you don’t have to start out as an expert in your niche. So even if your business isn’t profitable, at least you came out wiser about a topic you are truly interested in. Profit would just be the (very sweet) icing on the cake.

Tom-
Yeah.. Nothing is perfect.. So in order to make the best out of it, is to know everything about them inside out.

Diana-
Totally agree with being passionate on our niche markets. That’s why we see alot of marketers hoping around niches after a short while barely earn enough to cover their costs.

P.S.
I’ve added your suggestion in the post.

Suzanne-
Actually I was just trying to think of something new to write about. Glad it caught your attention. =D

I just rely on free keyword trackers to find niches that for me would be profitable.

I’m beginning to explore into micro niche sites at the moment. Well, I’m not too sure if the genius in me has been unleashed but choosing the right niche to target may not be that simple. It takes the right tools and an eye for details.

Great post !

Pfff… I am a niche marketer, so hunting for new niches is in my daily “to do list”, but I want to add that not always you have to be passionate about the niche, but then you need money.

Let’s see… I find a niche in which I am not interested in, I’m bored and not passionate about, but what if it’s really profitable ? I’ll probably hire some people to this boring job for me (write content, etc).

If you don’t have money that you can invest, then you must invest your time, and then I really recommend you to pick a niche that you’re passionate about.

Great post Erwin,

Cheers,

The Moneyac

Yeah.. Totally agree with you Weiliang..

If we don’t try, we will never know the outcome.
That falls back to split-testing which is so important especially us doing affiliate marketing.

I honestly think that in order to find a hot niche you need to make it hot yourself. By picking a topic that you like and that inspires you, you will love to work with it day after day and you will eventually your blog will spark. It doesn’t matter what the topic is, if you truly pour your heart out you will make money off of any niche.

There are a few more popular niches out there that are a wiser choice like you said, but in the end i think it all comes down to what you make of it.

I hate it when people ask, “What’s the best niche?” It’s whatever is best for you. Each person is different and have unique knowledge and experiences. If you chose someone else’s “best niche” and you had no knowledge or interest, you are destined to fail. You will do better and go further with something that you are passionate about, even if the Adsense revenue, for example, is pennies on the dollar. I’d gladly take 1000 clicks at $.10 each over 100 clicks at $.50 each.

Hey thanks for stopping by and taking the time to comment. Great site here!

Niche marketing is an art that takes time to learn, but once you do you can really make dreams come true. You have to be able to capitalize on trends and especially upcoming markets before they get flooded. Dominate your niche and you’ll have it made.

I think my blog is about writing and I hope I will have a niche for my book of days that I am writing to inspire.

I appreciate your advise and good words in this post because I believe that I will need to understand marketing and development of my product too and that is not a skill that I have right now.

Thank you for your good information

Don’t worry Patricia.. Everyone started out from nothing, so I’m sure you will do well once you mastered marketing well enough.
