I’m sure by now everyone knows about Google Adsense. For those who know nothing about it, click here to find out more.

Back to the topic. I’m sure you heard of professional bloggers and website owners earning thousands and thousands of dollars every month from google adsense in their blogs and websites respectively. But there are some who barely made a few dollars per month or day. They may say they are at least earning, but is it enough to cover their monthly internet bills and expenses and worst still.. their precious time wasted tickling away.

What I’m going to share with you in this post is about how a British named Michael Cheney, who successfully found out formulas to improve his adsense earnings. He has been earning more than $19,000 every month, and he spent the less amount of his time on google adsense compare to his other marketing businesses.

He came up with step-by-step videos showing people how to find the way to earning big money every month in google adsense. It’s just like watching him over his shoulder, learning how he does it and in the matter of time, you can sell big leap in your google adsense earnings everyday!!

What I’m going to share with you today is the most basic but essential ways to start a blog.

Firstly, get yourself a free blog host to sign up. I would recommend Blogger and WordPress.
Read through all the instructions upon signing up. *Read through the terms & conditions thoroughly*

Once you’ve got a blog up and going, I recommend that you pick a topic and kind of stick to it. Decide what it is you’re going to say. Themes can be pretty broad (mine’s Enterprise Computing, for example which gives me broad leeway but doesn’t just include everything). I go outside those boundaries from time to time, but pretty much I stick to the topic. A good way to get started is by referencing and quoting material from other blogs and Web sites you read and then commenting on them as you see fit. Eventually you will start to mix in longer essays that express a thought that you want to develop.

Write about what interests you, not what you think your readers want. If you just try to guess what people want and write about that, you’ll get bored with writing and it will become drudgery.  The way to get people to read your blog is to link to their blog and say interesting things. People notice when you link to their blogs (either through their referer logs or through Technorati) and will follow the link back and read what you have to say. If its interesting enough they might link to you, comment on what you say and, in so doing, drive traffic to you. Read your own blog and follow the links (at first) to prime the pump.

At a minimum, make sure that your email address or a comment form is available on your blog for people to send feedback. You may want to experiment with comments on blog entries and see whether you like them. Some people do and some people don’t.

It isn’t easy having to switch to WordPress. Don’t get me wrong! WordPress is fantastic! Only problem here are the widgets. Tried hundreds of times refreshing my browser in order to make sure I have my widgets installed in my sidebars.

Sad to say, 3 columns template is giving me a headache although I like the design. Well..Can’t get 2 things at one time, just have to settle for this and find my way out of the sidebars. I was just having a hard time wondering how come my links, widgets, pictures and even words are not coming out after I edited my sidebars.

Thankfully there is a sidebar(I have 4) which took all my widgets and showed them nicely here. Alright..Gotta go explore more widgets.. Watch this space for more updates..

Finally! The dreams of having my own personal blog really came true. A little something about myself. My name is Erwin Tan (as you can see it from the domain name).

I live in Singapore. A small country in the southern tip of Asia with the population of barely over 4 millions. Although Singapore may be small, but it’s growing proudly over the years. I first came in touch with internet back in 1997 during my high school days. I was fascinated with the informations and news I could find on the net.

I could still remember I was still using a slow Intel 486 processor PC back then. I was grateful that one fine day, my high school came out with a “Own a PC and connect to school server” scheme. Back then my school was considered technologically advanced for being the first neighbourhood school in the country to have it’s own server and linking most of the students from home. The 2nd thing that was grateful to happen was my aunt signed me up for the scheme and bought me a new PC! A brand new HP(Hewlett Packard) Pentium II Computer!!

Since then I never look back.. I spend quality time whenever I can, surfing my way through the internet for news and informations. Besides slogging through my studies, playing soccer after school and practicing my guitar, most of my time were spent on internet. I still can remember getting a hell loads of scolding for the hefty monthly bills (Dial-up sux!!)

10 years past and finally I have a chance to own my own domain on the net. Frankly speaking, it took alot out of me to setup this blog. I was really spending few years of my time exploring and surfing people’s blogs, informations and great stuffs online. People like you and me would rather save the time & hassle surfing & reading other people’s blogs than creating their own.
    Isn’t it true?
Isn’t that what you are doing right now?
