The picture says it all.. Isn’t it?
Most of us know too well that our body will not work in top condition if we never get enough quality sleep everyday. Although most of us get real tired after long hours of work but we still push ourselves to squeeze out a couple more of hours to work past wee hours. Worth while?
I’m rather excited and proud of this post as I’m gonna use myself as a case study for this post. Not some kind of good case study example though.
Ever since I’ve started working from home, I’ve neglected my sleep by burning midnight oil most of the days. In fact, I’m still doing this.
So how does the lack of sleep really affected me?
- Giddy spells everyday
- Craving for sugar thus leading to gaining weight
- Puffy eyebags that seem to be there for ages
- Dropping of hair ( Check your pillow)
- Dehydration
- Nightmares
- Sleepwalk (I was shellshocked after my family told me this)
- Fatigue (Literally tired physically and mentally)
- Negative 99% concentration
- Hallucinations (Scary but true)
So are you suffering any of the above like me?
Since most of us know this truth but why are we still procrastinating and neglecting it? Maybe it’s time for a change.
If you want to check out more informations about how lack of sleep will affect our well-being, head over to google and search “lack of sleep effects”
Let’s get more sleep..

Yeah.. I couldn’t believe it myself when my granny told me I sleepwalk into the hall touching my furniture and back to my bedroom again.
I really don’t remember anything at all. That’s really scary and dangerous.

Yes, the thing for me is that once I started an interesting task, I would want to keep my motivations and energy instead of waking up the next day and feel lazy to continue my unfinished task from the previous night

As I sit here yawning, trying to get myself awake after my post-dinner nap, I must agree with you.
As a person who works from home, I am faced with thousands of distractions and interruptions throughout the day – so look forward to the night hours to work when all is mostly quiet. (The dogs do demand a run outside every couple of hours.)
I can easily forget to watch the clock and find myself totally focused on a copywriting project at 2 a.m.
And that would be OK – except clients expect to be able to reach me during normal “office hours.” That means I need to be awake and functioning by 9 a.m. Worse – some clients are on the East Coast, and they forget when they call me at 9 a.m. that it’s really 6 in the morning here. No, I don’t get up and answer the phone at that hour, but it does disturb my sleep!
What is the answer? More afternoon naps, perhaps!

thanks for the link to your Blog via Twitter. Great post. Dugg it up as well.
Hope all things nocturnal have settled down for you. I’ve moved and hidden my mobile phone in my sleep, in a different room. Couldn’t find it at all. Had to ring it from my land line. Strange!
