There are lots of niche markets out there but talking about niche genius, how many can you find?

This post is not about who is smarter or more capable to excel in niche marketing. Many of you can simply use your own researching techniques and come up with niche markets that are pretty hot in demand while many are struggling to find one since day one.

So is finding a hot in demand niche market the most important step to your online business?

Many have seem to be misleaded by the words of experts. Finding a hot in demand niche market doesn’t always makes you money/profits in the long run.

So what is the real truth behind it and what’s it gotta do with being a niche genius?

In my own term, a niche genius is someone who not only discover hot and targetted niche markets, they are very profitable as well. Just like an expert explorer who could find hidden treasures while none of us could.

These “geniuses” really know how to leverage on these found targetted niche markets and multiple their income simply instantly.

If you still can’t get the picture, don’t worry too much as I’ve simply been there and done that myself.

For example, “Forex” and “Myspace” are highly targetted and searched niche markets. Can you tell me which is more profitable?

Although there are lots of myspace users, but most of them are students who aren’t willing to spend any money on myspace itself. But it’s a totally different story for forex searchers, many of them are have their basic income and are willing to spend money on forex to multiple them.

So it isn’t difficult to find a highly targetted and profitable niche market at all. All you have to do is to take an extra step more and make the comparison. *Hint* Take a look at all the famous magazines, if they are not highly in demand and profitable, will those big companies print and sell them like hotcakes?

So why can’t everyone start unleashing the niche genius in yourself today?

Although this is not the only step to being a” niche genius”, but it’s one of the most important step if you want to make real money in a long run.

A niche market enables you to target your sales messages with great precision. The more narrowly you define your niche market the easier it is to cater to the specifically defined interests of people in that market.

For example, some businesses describe their target market as “opportunity seekers”. But this is a broad audience. You cannot cater to specifically defined personal interests of individuals in this group because it may include all of the following:

* Executives who want to get out of the corporate environment and start their own business

* New mothers who want to start a home based business

* Students who want to generate some extra income

But people don’t respond to general talk. They respond only when they feel you are talking directly to them about their individual needs.

SPECIAL ADVANTAGE: A highly defined, small niche market can insulate you from competition. Other small businesses are likely to overlook it. Large businesses will find the market segment too small to bother with.

So now that you have narrow your niche, let’s talk about how to a niche market for yourself.

How To Find Your Own Niche Market

One way to find a good niche market is to evaluate your existing customers. Can you uncover a segment of customers with similar characteristics? All you have to do, is to ask! It’s really so easy!

Another way to find a niche market is to work backward from the benefits you offer.

Start by listing all the benefits provided by your product or service. Then list some of the characteristics of prospects whose current situation can be dramatically improved by those benefits.

You should begin to see a narrowly defined group emerge as a niche market.

You don’t really need to be an expert when it comes to choosing a niche for your product. I’ve known dozens of marketers who are doing well with their own sets of niches and to share with you more, most of these niches they came up with are not money-making niches.

They are simply not experts in these niches too! What they did was there simply hire ghostwriters to create the info products for them.

Mistake #2 - Being Too “Product-Oriented” Instead Of “Market-Oriented”

You really have to admit this! You and I can think and create any ideas and produce a product instantly. Most of the time, beginners are blinded by other people’s successes and sell products just for the sake of selling. I won’t say that won’t bring you income, but it will be a short-term income as they will soon realise they can’t come up with products to sell their current customers.

But if you start with a market in mind, you will have a group of people you can sell to and you will get to know what they really need. This will allow you to discover the problems of that particular market and create products around that.. Not the other way round.
